Jun 1966, Ektachrome. Yosemite, California. A girl stands near the Wawona Tree, a tunnel carved through a giant Sequoia in 1881. The Wawona tree no longer stands, during the challenging winter of 1968-1969, it succumbed to the weight of heavy snow. It is believed to have been 2100 years old.
